Journey Notes:

Pepe's daily lesson - what not to do on a motorcycle on interstate 70 doing 75 miles an hour:
1. When in a state with no helmet law - put on sunscreen, as you can see from the pictures. A hair net would be cool too.
2. Bugs, Rocks, and rain all feel the same at 80 miles an hour - OUCH!
3. When the clouds are darker than night over the rockies don't ask Shari "Do I have to wear my jacket?" BRRRRRR

Today was an excellent day. It was the "Feed the Children" motorcycle run and that is what Star Days is centered around. Local businesses donate food to the organization "Feed the Children", they box it up so that it is ready for us to pick up in the morning to load up on our motorcycles. Star members and "Feed the Children" volunteers distribute the food. Local PD blocks off about 6 miles of intersections to allow 1,000 plus bikes to reach the distribution point. Once we arrive we off load our boxes and watch the families wait in line to pick up their share of the donated food. It makes one feel soooo good to help others!
OK the day wouldn't be the same without one of Pepe's thoughts:
What other place can you ride without a helmet, speed, see flashing police lights in your mirror and run red lights without getting a ticket... "Feed the Children Run", Longmont, CO. IT ROCKED!!

AHHHH! Today was a nice and relaxing day. The only riding we did was to cruise the bikes around the parking lot to wash them. Shari and I lounged by the pool and Pepe was enjoying some of the local scenery.
Pepe's Daily Lesson:
When on vacation don't tell the President of your chapter what hotel you are staying in because you will get a 7:00 a.m. wake up call asking you to take a 150 mile bike ride. (He's fresh and ready to roll because he trailored his bike in.) WHAT IS HE THINKING?
